I came across two ravens at the beach along a cliff. Possibly getting ready to build a nest. Lots of texture in this painting. Original is at The Gallery in Fallbrook until June 16. I won 3rd place in the Spring Judged Show there.
I am an artist and watercolor instructor. I love all things to do with art. In the third grade, my teacher admired a crayon drawing I made of a swan and lily pads. Her positive comments made me want to create art from then on. I now teach watercolor and drawing. I love to share what I've learned and draw out of others that fascination with art that we all had as children. A quote from Pablo Picasso sits over my desk in my studio: "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." Many of my students can remember teachers or other students who made critical comments about their artwork. When this happens, many beginning artists have the urge to quit. I always encourage my students: “Never give up”....
