The reference for this was taken at the Huntington Library (gardens) near Pasadena California. It's a wonderful place to visit and see wonderful roses, you can't see anywhere else. I love the antique roses they have there.

I am an artist and watercolor instructor. I love all things to do with art. In the third grade, my teacher admired a crayon drawing I made of a swan and lily pads. Her positive comments made me want to create art from then on. I now teach watercolor and drawing. I love to share what I've learned and draw out of others that fascination with art that we all had as children. A quote from Pablo Picasso sits over my desk in my studio: "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." Many of my students can remember teachers or other students who made critical comments about their artwork.
